![]() This should only take less than 10 seconds to complete boot check. The device will not boot until the green LED is solid. Hopefully just a reseat of all items on the MFP board does the trick. This might need emergency firmware reload via the MFP board dip switch, or it might need a new SD-Card. If that is red when trying to boot, you have an SD-Card failure (where boot firmware is stored). Look for a small red LED under the main MFP board Heatsink. If the MFD cannot locate one of the required boot items, you'll get an orange flashing LED.Īs you've relocated the device (hopefully in the correct manner to move a photocopier), and now it won't boot, the first thing you need to do is check and reseat the SD-Card, HDD & MFP board memory modules. If any of these fail in some way you'll get a continuous flashing green LED. Upon main switch enabled, the MFP board does a check for SD-Card, HDD, Boot Firmware, MFP memory, Comms to PCU and SCU boards and EEPROMs. If the green LED near the power button does not stop flashing, you have a situation where the boot check cannot complete. And I've tried waiting for about 10 minutes to see if maybe it's just very slow to come on. I've tried a couple of different outlets as well, which are on different breakers. I've also tried switching off the unit, unplugging, waiting for a couple minutes, and then plugging back in. I've also looked at the user manual and the service manual, but the only guidance I can find is to wait until the power indicator stops flashing and then press the power on button. I tried reseating the cable in the back that I removed, and made sure it was plugged in all the way. It could have been damaged during transport, but I don't see any signs of that. But I'd like to think there is a simpler answer. My research so far would indicate that either the storage media is no good, or it's a bad DC power supply. But the power indicator just flashes and never turns green. Some fans come on right away and I hear a brief motor noise, then after about 20 seconds another fan comes on. Then loaded into my car, drove home, unloaded, put the cable back in, and plugged it into the wall. I unplugged it (didn't turn it off first, which in hindsight probably wasn't the best move), and also unplugged the cable in the back so it wouldn't get damaged. It was powered on when I was there and I did a quick print and everything seemed fine. ![]() I bought this printer today from a local city hall office.
